S Group reports record operating profit and online sales surge in Finland

S Group, which encompasses regional cooperatives and the SOK Corporation, reported a combined operating profit of 152 million euros for the first half of the year, up from 149 million euros during the same period last year. The operating profit for SOK increased from 38 million euros to 45 million euros, driven by the strong performance of S-Bank.

Retail sales grew by 1.1%, reaching nearly seven billion euros. S Group noted a significant rise in online grocery sales, which surged almost 20% compared to the previous year.

Additionally, S Group distributed bonuses to its customer-owners amounting to 219 million euros, marking the highest sum ever paid out in the first half of the year.
