Seismic activity recorded on Reykjanes Peninsula as eruptions continue near Stóra-Skógfell

Recent seismic activity on the Reykjanes Peninsula has been recorded, with ongoing eruptions at two sites northeast of Stóra-Skógfell. According to reports, volcanic craters are accumulating material, while lava primarily flows northward, with a minor stream heading west. The advancement of the lava is currently slow, and the earlier westward lava flow towards the Grindavíkur road is beginning to cool down, showing no visible movement on webcams.

Seismic activity remains low at the moment, with a recorded earthquake measuring 2.2 near the eruptions around 2 AM.
