The incident occurred shortly before 4 PM in Oslo when police received reports of three young boys being robbed near Majorstuen. Soon after, they received another report of an attempted robbery, followed by a notification that another young person had also been robbed.
All victims are boys, with the oldest being 18 years old. Police spokesperson Bjarne Pedersen stated the robberies and the attempted robbery transpired in the area between Majorstuen and downtown Oslo, although he did not disclose specific details about what the victims were robbed of, other than confirming they were valuables.
In light of the two robberies and one attempted robbery within the span of about an hour, authorities quickly identified a possible connection between the incidents. Descriptions of the suspects and the methods used in the robberies were consistent across the reports.
Rapid police response led to the arrest of four individuals suspected of involvement. Authorities also recovered the stolen valuables. Among the arrested are three teenage boys aged 14 and 15, along with an 18-year-old.
Pedersen noted that it is too early to determine if any of the suspects have prior police records. The police are currently assessing how to proceed with the youngest among those apprehended.
