The atmosphere was cheerful and warm as a crowd of ten thousand gathered at Helsinki’s Olympic Stadium on Friday for a concert by PMMP, featuring Paula Vesala and Mira Luoti. The audience sang along throughout the performance, embracing the reunion vibe, despite earlier controversies surrounding their summer festival appearances. Attendees seemed unconcerned about these issues as they eagerly enjoyed the show.

Kasper Kuusisto, 23, who attended the concert with his sister, expressed indifference toward the summer gig discussions. “A concert is always a concert. Festivals are a different thing,” he remarked.

Sanna Salokoski, 45, and her husband, Sami, 47, shared that the controversies had no impact on their experience. “The whole week, I have had ‘This might be the most wonderful day of our lives’ stuck in my head,” Sanna said.

Young fans Elena Aho and Nina Miettunen, both 18, noted that listening to PMMP’s tracks brought back memories of their childhood.

Despite rain intermittently falling during the concert, the audience sang loudly enough for their voices to be heard outside the stadium. The performance, featuring all of PMMP’s major hits from the early 2000s, was filled with energy. Paula Vesala displayed a playful spirit, while the duo engaged with fans, even performing among them.

The concert concluded spectacularly with a fireworks display, capping off a long-awaited return for PMMP, whose break had allowed many fans to grow into adulthood. The night was also marked by visual effects and fire elements, creating a vibrant and unforgettable experience for everyone present.
