Trial concerning right-wing extremist terrorism begins in Kankaanpää, Finland
The trial concerning right-wing extremist terrorism in Kankaanpää will commence today with a preparatory session at the Satakunta District Court. The main proceedings are scheduled to take place at the end of September. Six individuals are charged with terrorism and violent crimes.
Deputy Prosecutor General Jukka Rappe has previously indicated that the alleged offenses are linked to racist and neo-Nazi ideologies. According to the police, the group represents a highly extreme form of accelerationist right-wing extremism. In this ideology, contemporary society is viewed as an enemy, and efforts are made to hasten its collapse through actions such as terrorist attacks.
