The Eastern Uusimaa District Court has sentenced Heikki Hursti to 45 days of conditional imprisonment and a fine of 25 daily penalty units for aggravated drunk driving. The fines amount to over €1,100. According to the court ruling, Hursti was guilty of serious drunk driving on April 9 in Vantaa, where he had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.66 milligrams per liter in his breath. In June, Hursti commented to Yle about the situation, stating that one is punished for foolishness. Additionally, Hursti has been accused of a health crime, with the case being addressed in the Helsinki District Court on August 13. A ruling on this matter has not yet been issued, and Hursti has denied any wrongdoing regarding the health crime.
