Hunting season for waterfowl begins in Finland with restrictions on twilight hours

The hunting season for waterfowl in Finland begins today at noon, according to the Finnish Wildlife Agency. However, hunting during twilight hours is prohibited. The ban starts one hour after sunset and ends one hour before sunrise.

The Wildlife Agency advises hunters to focus on abundant duck species, such as the mallard, northern pintail, and tufted duck. The agency notes that populations of several waterfowl species that thrive in lush waters have declined in Finland.
