A man in his twenties who went missing on Sunday evening was found shortly before 10 PM in good condition. He was discovered very close to where he had parked his car, according to rescue operation operator Eivind Bø.

The man was reported missing after failing to return from a hiking trip in Meråker. He was expected back around 5 PM, leading concerned family members to notify authorities. According to operations manager Ole Petter Hollingen, the man had set out for a mountain trek from Mannseterbakken, faced with wet and foggy conditions in the mountains.

Initially, he was supposed to hike with another person, but they parted ways at some point during the journey. The other individual returned as planned.

A coordinated rescue operation was established, involving police patrols, the Red Cross, Norwegian People’s Aid, Norwegian rescue dogs, and a rescue helicopter.
