Squirrel discovered aboard Western Finland Coast Guard patrol vessel Uisko

A squirrel was found aboard the Western Finland Coast Guard patrol vessel Uisko for several days, according to the Western Finland Coast Guard. The Coast Guard reported on their messaging service that the discovery was accidental, and it appears the animal had been on the ship for some time, as the patrol vessel had not been in port for days.

Officials from the Western Finland Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Center informed Yle that it is not every day that a squirrel is spotted on the patrol vessel. The Uisko successfully released the animal near Lappohja, close to Hanko.
