Police investigate serious assault and robberies at Haukilahden beach in Espoo

Police are investigating a severe assault and two robberies believed to have occurred on Friday at the Haukilahden beach in Espoo. The assault, which involved an underage boy, took place near the boat dock at Haukilahden beach between 10 PM and midnight on August 16. The victim sought hospital treatment on his own afterward. Authorities suspect several young men of being involved in the assault, but their identities remain unknown.
The first robbery occurred in the parking lot of Haukilahden beach on August 16, around 10 PM to 10:30 PM, where a group of young men reportedly robbed an underage boy. The second robbery took place near the intersection of Haukilahden beach and Mellstenintie, between 10:50 PM and 11:15 PM on the same night, involving a group of young men who again targeted an underage boy. During this incident, three other underage boys were also victims of violence.
The police are urging anyone with information or observations related to the assault and the robberies to come forward. Hundreds of young people had gathered at Haukilahden beach on Friday night. The news is still developing.
