Technology company Origo has completed integrating Maven and Datalab into its operations, and both companies will now operate under the Origo name, mbl.is reported. Their specialists will become part of Origo’s teams.

Origo announced earlier this year that it had acquired the two companies to strengthen its position in data, artificial intelligence and digital transformation. The integration is now complete, the company said.

The combined team brings together Maven’s expertise in data analysis, data infrastructure and business intelligence with Datalab’s work advising on and implementing artificial intelligence solutions. Clients will continue to receive the same services while gaining access to Origo’s wider range of services.

Helgi Hrafn Halldórsson, head of Origo’s combined data and artificial intelligence team, said demand was growing for solutions that use data and artificial intelligence. He said joining Origo would provide a stronger base for helping companies turn data into value and use artificial intelligence purposefully and responsibly.

Origo chief executive Árni Geir Valgeirsson called the integration an important step in the company’s development. He said the combined expertise would allow Origo to support companies from strategy and analysis through to implementation and operation of technology solutions.
