Fathers can expect mild outdoor weather, while Lapland may get snow

Fathers can expect mostly dry, mild weather for outdoor activities on Sunday, Yle reports. Meteorologist Elias Paakkanen says sunshine will appear in many parts of the country through the end of the week.

Friday will be a little cooler than recent days, but the sun is expected across most of Finland. Lapland will be cloudier.

Temperatures could approach 10C over the weekend, particularly along the Turku to Vaasa axis. On Saturday, sunshine is expected at least in western and northern Finland, while the south and east will be cloudier.

In the Käsivarsi region of Lapland, snowfall could bring 5 to 20 centimetres over the weekend.

Colder air is expected to move south from the north next week, bringing the possibility of a few colder days around the middle of the week. Snow may also fall in southern and central Finland, though Paakkanen said that part of the forecast remains uncertain.
