Court remands man suspected of killing young woman in Jyväskylä

A man in his early 20s has been remanded in custody on probable cause on suspicion of manslaughter after a young woman was found dead in an apartment building in Jyväskylä, Yle reports.

The Central Finland District Court ordered the man’s remand on Thursday. Police say the suspected killing took place on 1 November in a private home in the Puistotori area of Jyväskylä.

The victim was a woman in her early 20s who lived in Jyväskylä. Police say she and the suspect knew each other. The suspect was arrested at the scene over the weekend.
