TV 2’s audience editor, Lars Bennike, will get help from former DR listener and viewer editor Jesper Termansen to investigate the programme “Alle elsker Rasmus”, DR reports.

Bennike told Ritzau that the investigation involves a substantial amount of work and should be completed within a reasonable time so people are not left wondering for months about its findings.

He also plans to contact Rasmus Wallbridge, the unsuspecting central figure in the programme, to hear how he experienced the events.

TV 2 removed the programme from its streaming platform over the weekend after several days of heavy criticism. Critics accused it of adult bullying, psychological torture and gaslighting.

TV 2 has also confirmed that an extra laugh was edited into the final episode, in the scene where the prank is revealed to Wallbridge. The laugh sounds identical to another one.

TV 2 said it would investigate the programme. The broadcaster’s content director, Ulla Pors, told Ritzau that the series should not have been made or released, and that the company would examine the mistakes made and take the criticism seriously.
