A bus rear-ended a car, setting off a collision involving four vehicles on the Ártúnsbrekka road stretch, mbl.is reported. One person was taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be serious.
The crash happened at about 8.15am. One fire engine and one ambulance from the capital-area fire service were sent to the scene. The collision caused significant traffic delays.
The vehicles were travelling west near N1. The bus was full of passengers, and another bus was called to collect them. A fire service supervisor said all four cars would probably need to be towed away.
