Police receive three assault reports in the capital area

Police in the capital area received three reports of physical assaults on Saturday, mbl.is reported. The cases are under investigation.

The reports came in between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to the police log. The severity of the assaults is not yet known. All three were reported in the jurisdiction of Police Station One, which serves central Reykjavík, the West and East Town districts, and Seltjarnarnes.

Police handled 37 cases in total that day. Two people were known to be in custody at 5 p.m.
