Police cordon off Greve area after blast destroys apartment entrance
Police have cordoned off an area in Greve after an explosion destroyed the entrance to an apartment building early Saturday. No one was injured, DR reported.
Police received a report of the blast at 3.24 a.m., according to on-duty chief Boye Rasmussen of the Central and West Zealand Police. The entrance was completely destroyed.
Investigators say the person or people responsible may have used a chrysanthemum bomb. Police sealed off the area around the apartment building, near Grøftehuset and Dalhuset, and searched it with dog patrols.
The police investigation is receiving support from the National Forensic Center and the Armed Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal service. Rasmussen said police had previously dealt with similar incidents in the area, but had no idea who was behind Saturday’s explosion.
