Teistin cancels final sailings as bad weather arrives early

The ferry Teistin cancelled its final sailings on the Nólsoy route because of bad weather, leaving a Nólsoy resident in Tórshavn saying the notice came too late, Kringvarp Føroya (KVF) reports.

The ferry service announced the cancellations at about 4pm. Helgi Luid Solmunde, who lives in Nólsoy, was in Tórshavn when he learned that Teistin had stopped sailing.

The service’s director said the final sailings had to be cancelled at short notice because the bad weather arrived earlier than expected.
