Police investigate suspected manslaughter in Espoo

One person died in a serious act of violence in Espoo overnight from Monday to Tuesday, Yle reports. Police say it happened in Olari, a district of the city.

Western Uusimaa Police are investigating the case as suspected manslaughter. They have not disclosed details about what happened, any suspects or a possible motive, saying the preliminary investigation is at an early stage.

Investigation lead Mikko Alakärppä, a detective chief inspector with the police, said no further information could be released without risking the investigation.
