Police in the Faroe Islands will seize 629 vehicle number plates because the owners owe road and environmental charges for the second half of 2026, KVF reported.
Police received the cases on Monday. Officers will remove the plates if owners cannot show receipts proving the charges have been paid.
In April, police received 799 cases involving unpaid charges for the first half of 2026.
