Thomas Már Gregers has been appointed head of Véltindar, a company that represents Iveco commercial vehicles and King Long and VDL coaches, mbl.is reports.

Gregers has an Executive MBA from Reykjavik University and about 24 years of experience in the automotive industry, according to the company’s announcement. He has worked in sales, operations and management, including as sales director at BL, where he led the company’s largest sales division, covering nine brands.

He also led the development of Porsche in Iceland and headed its operations for several years, while managing relations with international partners.

“I see significant opportunities to strengthen these brands’ position in the Icelandic market and build on the foundations already laid,” Gregers said.

He said he would focus on developing Véltindar’s offering to meet customer needs, strengthening business relationships and providing reliable, personal service.

“Our customers need vehicles suited to their projects and operations. Our role is to understand those needs and help them choose the right solutions,” he said. “I look forward to working with Véltindar’s staff on the company’s continued development.”
