A 10,500-square-metre hotel with 120 rooms is scheduled to open beside Skógarböðin, a bathing complex in Akureyri, on September 1 next year, mbl.is reports.

Finnur Aðalbjörnsson, owner of Skógarböðin, said the hotel will include 13 suites, a 500-square-metre spa and an underground car park with space for 75 vehicles. Guests will be able to enter the baths directly from the hotel’s third floor.

The hotel will be built using modules manufactured abroad.
