Business Finland files criminal report in Shanghai over financial misconduct at Finch
Business Finland has filed a criminal report with the police in Shanghai, suspecting that an employee of its Chinese subsidiary, Finch, may have committed financial misconduct. Marianne Asikainen, the director in charge of legal and administrative matters at Business Finland, confirmed this information to Yle.
Currently, the suspected financial irregularities are estimated to amount to around one million euros, with the alleged offenses occurring between 2017 and 2018. Asikainen refrained from commenting on the nationality of the employee in question.
The concerns surrounding these suspicions were brought to the attention of Business Finland in May.
