Clocks go back one hour overnight

Clocks will be moved back one hour at 4 a.m. as Finland switches from summer time to winter time overnight, Yle reports, citing STT.

The change takes place every year on the last Sunday in October. Summer and winter time are used throughout the European Union.

The European Parliament voted in 2019 to end the seasonal clock changes, but the proposal has not progressed because not all member states have agreed on a position. Finland supports ending summer time, which it introduced in 1981.
