Boleo’s winds and rain to reach Finland this weekend
Strong winds linked to storm Boleo will reach Finland on Sunday, while rain is expected across the country over the weekend, Yle reports. Yle meteorologist Matti Huutonen said a rainy weather front would move north across Finland on Saturday.
Rain or drizzle is expected in eastern and northern Finland during the day, while much of the south and west should remain dry. The sun may appear through the clouds. Daytime temperatures will range from below 5C in the north to just above 10C in the south.
A strong low-pressure system will approach Finland from the west on Sunday. Southerly winds will strengthen, potentially reaching storm force over the southwestern sea areas. Gusts will also be strong on land in the south and west.
Rain will spread into Finland from the west on Monday night, with strong gusty southerly winds continuing.
