Sweden’s Government Offices will block access to ChatGPT and Claude from Monday, SVT reports, citing Swedish Radio’s Ekot. Staff will no longer be able to use the AI tools on their work computers.
Instead, civil servants will be directed to Microsoft’s Copilot, which the Government Offices has approved after reviewing the service and increasing its security.
The Swedish Tax Agency and the National Board of Institutional Care have already blocked AI services. The Enforcement Authority is also considering the issue. SVT said it had contacted the Government Offices for comment.
