DR reports that a Danish woman and a Polish man have been charged with jointly murdering a 26-year-old Polish man whose body was found in a sewer in Harlev J in February 2025.

The defendants, aged 31 and 42, are also charged with improper treatment of a corpse. Prosecutors further accuse them of jointly possessing and transporting a knife and a loaded firearm with ammunition, which the indictment says were used to kill the victim.

Sewer problems led to the discovery. They began around 6 February, and it took several weeks to establish the cause. The man was found dead nearly a month later.

Police arrested the two defendants in May, and they have been held in custody since. The trial is expected to begin on 10 November and last 10 court days. A verdict is expected on 14 December.

It is not known how the defendants respond to the charges.
