The committee reviewing a proposal to amend the abortion law has asked for an extension until November 4, KVF reports. Its report was due tomorrow.
The Judicial Committee received the Centre Party’s proposal on September 24. It is meeting on the issue today and plans to write its report after the meeting.
The committee says its review is not complete because those called to give evidence have not had a chance to meet it until now. MEGD, Amnesty International Faroe Islands, the Association of General Practitioners, the minister for education, Gigni and the prime minister have been called to meet the committee.
