The Israeli documentary Naza, which examines Israel’s military operations in Gaza, will be a main attraction at this year’s Rokumentti festival in Joensuu, Yle reports.

The film features interviews with Israeli military and intelligence sources and describes how Israel uses artificial intelligence-based targeting systems in Gaza. The documentary says the systems may have led to the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians.

The film has sparked controversy in Israel. The country’s prime minister has called for the sources to be revealed, while its culture minister has demanded that the directors’ citizenship be revoked. Naza had its Finnish premiere at the Love and Anarchy film festival in early October.

Rokumentti describes itself as the Nordic region’s largest music film festival, although its programme also includes films on other subjects. This year’s line-up includes a concert film by K-pop group Stray Kids, punk documentaries and All We Have Is Us, about the technology industry’s influence on environmental policy. It also features a singalong version of a film about singer Kaija Koo.

The festival runs from 11 to 15 November and is organised by the Joensuu Pop Musicians’ Association.
