Lawmakers criticise plan to exempt state ferries from harbour fees

A proposal to exempt the state ferry service from fees at municipal harbours drew criticism in the Faroese parliament, including from within the governing coalition, KVF reported.

The proposal, put forward by minister Jacob Vestergaard, was debated at its first reading on Tuesday. It would mean the state ferry vessels no longer had to pay to use municipal harbours.
