Gosfélagið, which makes Klaki and Klaki Djúsí soft drinks, is ending production of two-litre bottles and switching to 1.5-litre bottles, mbl.is reports. All four Klaki varieties will be available in the new size.
Managing director Brynjar Freyr Valsteinsson told Viðskiptablaðið that customers had said they often left some drink in the bottom of the bottle, where it could go flat. The company wants to keep the product as fresh as possible, he said, adding that the change was not based on anything more complicated.
Customers can expect smaller bottles at lower prices. Gosfélagið’s prices have generally remained unchanged so far this year, and the company does not plan to raise them before the new year, Valsteinsson said.
