Fire crews quickly extinguish blaze at Hafnarfjörður business premises

A fire broke out in business premises at Norðurbakki in Hafnarfjörður shortly after 6pm on Monday, mbl.is reported.

Lárus Steindór Björnsson, a shift supervisor with the capital area fire service, said the fire was extinguished quickly and crews were working to ventilate the building. The fire started in what he described as some kind of pot.

All available fire crews were dispatched, though one fire engine was turned back. The fire was confined to one spot, Lárus said. The shop involved has not been identified.
