Three rescue teams were called to Kjós shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday over a roof edge at risk of being torn loose, mbl.is reported.

Teams from Kjölur in Kjalarnes, Kyndill in Mosfellsbær and the Reykjavík Scouts’ Rescue Team were stood down before reaching the scene. A firefighter from Kjalarnes had arrived and secured the roof edge with screws.

The Berserkir rescue team in Stykkishólmur was also called out shortly before 3 p.m. after a window broke in strong winds. The window has since been boarded up.

Jón Þór Víglundsson, an information officer for the rescue organisation Landsbjörg, told mbl.is about the callouts.
