Sólveig Anna rules out other roles within ASÍ

Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir, chair of Efling, will not seek any other position within the Icelandic Confederation of Labour (ASÍ), she confirmed at the organisation’s 47th congress at Hilton Reykjavík on Friday, mbl.is reported.

She lost to ASÍ president Halla Gunnarsdóttir in the election for first vice-president. Sólveig Anna said she would not run for second or third vice-president, or for a seat on ASÍ’s central board.

The congress is now selecting the second and third vice-presidents under its rules.
