25-year-old charged over grooming and sextortion of 68 children
A 25-year-old man is charged with grooming and so-called sextortion involving 68 children across Denmark, DR reports, citing Fyns Police. The children were aged 11 to 14, and police have not identified all of them.
The man denies the charges and has been held in pre-trial detention since March 2025. His trial is due to begin on 20 October, with a verdict expected in December. Large parts of the proceedings are expected to take place behind closed doors.
According to the indictment, the man contacted children through Snapchat and OmeTV, a website where users are connected with new chat partners. He is accused of persuading them to perform sexual acts on themselves and, in some cases, with other people.
The indictment says he watched some of the acts live, while in other cases children later sent him images or videos. Some of the alleged acts involved animals, according to the police statement.
Of the 68 children listed as victims, 27 have been identified. They are from across Denmark, and some are from abroad.
