The Samskifti interest group is urging companies and institutions to review AI-generated material carefully before using it, to ensure it does not infringe on others’ copyright, KVF reports.

AI systems are trained on large amounts of material, and their output may not be as original as it appears. Logos, slogans, mascots and other content can closely resemble identities that others have spent considerable time, effort and money developing.

“This is unfortunate and, in the worst case, can end in a lawsuit,” said Michael Koba, chairman of Samskifti.
