Mild air and rain move across Finland late this week

Mild air will flow into Finland as southerly winds strengthen later this week, Yle reports. Thursday will be mostly cloudy and dry, with sunshine in places in the east and along the west coast.

Rain is forecast in the Käsivarsi region of Lapland, with drizzle possible elsewhere in the north. Rain will spread more widely across Lapland in the evening, while most other parts of the country stay dry.

Scattered showers will reach southern and central Finland on Friday, though some areas will see only light drizzle. A more widespread and heavier band of rain is expected to move into central Finland on Friday evening.
