Bad weather disrupts ferry and bus services

Bad weather has caused widespread cancellations across the ferry and bus network, KVF reported on Wednesday.
The ferry operator Strandferðslan said bus services in Suðuroy have been suspended temporarily, along with several other routes around the country. The Smyril made one trip this morning but has cancelled its remaining sailings between Suðuroy and Havn today.
There will be no more sailings to the island of Kalsoy today, and the Ritan sailing from Hvannasund at 14:45 has been cancelled. The Teistin is due to leave Havn at 16:20 and Nólsoy at 16:50, but no further sailings are planned after that.
