Greenhouse threatened by strong winds in Hella

Hella’s search and rescue team was called out shortly before 9am after reports that a small greenhouse beside a home was at risk of being blown away, mbl.is reported.

Rescue teams in Vestmannaeyjar have also completed a callout after a metal edge came loose from a roof. Jón Þór Víglundsson, a spokesperson for the search and rescue association Landsbjörg, said it was not roof sheets, as previously reported.

No further callouts have been reported today, and rescue teams remain on standby.
