TAKS welcomes three new customs officers but says more are needed

TAKS will hire three customs officers over the next three years, but its director says more could be needed, KVF reports.

“Three new customs officers is good, but there could have been more,” said Eyðun Mørkøre, director of TAKS. He called the planned hires a step in the right direction.

The budget proposal for next year says border controls should be strengthened to curb drug smuggling.
