Icelandic Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir has criticised US President Donald Trump’s decision to partially ease sanctions on Russia to increase diesel supplies, mbl.is reports.
“Given how close the relationship between Trump and Putin appears to be, it would be better for the US president to try to exert more influence on his counterpart,” she said.
Commenting on announced US measures against the International Criminal Court, Gunnarsdóttir said Iceland stood with the court not only when it pursued its enemies, “but also when it stands for justice in relation to our friends.”
