Electricity prices on the spot market will peak at more than 27 cents per kilowatt-hour on Monday, Yle reported. The all-day average is nearly 13 cents per kilowatt-hour, compared with just over 5 cents on Sunday.

The price rises above 14 cents after 9 a.m. and tops 20 cents an hour later. It is highest between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., at more than 26 cents per kilowatt-hour. The most expensive 15-minute period comes shortly before 5.30 p.m., when the price climbs well above 27 cents.

After 9 p.m., the price falls to about 8 cents per kilowatt-hour and drops below that an hour later. The prices include value-added tax. Spot-price electricity customers also pay their supplier’s margin and any basic fee, as well as a transmission charge to their local grid company.
