Three people were arrested after an assault in the downtown area, and a car driver was detained after admitting to stealing the vehicle, mbl.is reported, citing the capital region police log.

Police said three people attacked one person in the downtown area. The three suspects were arrested and held in a cell, while the injured person was taken to an emergency department for assessment. Their condition was not known. Two of the suspects were under 18, and police are handling the case with child protection services and the suspects’ parents.

Police also detained a person for urinating against a building in the city centre. The person was charged with violating police regulations.

During a routine traffic stop, a driver admitted to stealing the car shortly beforehand. The driver and a passenger were arrested. The driver is also suspected of driving under the influence of drugs.

Another driver was stopped on suspicion of driving along a pedestrian street in the downtown area. Police also responded to a traffic collision in which both vehicles had to be towed. Neither driver was injured.

Officers were called about a heavily intoxicated person who was unable to care for themselves and was sitting on a bench outside an entertainment venue. The person’s friends arrived and planned to take them home by taxi.

Firefighters extinguished a fire at a summer cottage. Police said two people were being held in custody at the time of the report and that 53 cases had been entered into police systems during the shift, which ran from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
