Origo has signed an exclusive agreement with British software distributor TheAppChannel to sell its Bifröst solution worldwide, the Icelandic IT company said in a statement reported by mbl.is.

TheAppChannel will handle all international sales of Bifröst. Its backers include James Crowter, founder and owner of Tecman and Clever Dynamics, and Torben Kragelund, owner of Confrenzy. The companies specialise in consulting and implementation for Business Central and Microsoft 365.

Origo chief executive Árni Geir Valgeirsson said the partnership offered significant opportunities, citing TheAppChannel’s international network. The company said Bifröst had already attracted attention in the industry.

Bifröst lets users interact with Business Central in everyday language. Origo says its artificial intelligence is tailored to the system and can retrieve and process information, carry out tasks, analyse business operations, post entries and reconcile accounts directly in Business Central.

The solution is built into Business Central and connects the system’s data, processes and business rules to the AI chosen by the user. A user can submit a request in a chat interface such as Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude, in Icelandic, and Bifröst translates it into an action within the user’s permissions.

Crowter said the solution had become one of his most important daily tools, adding that it improved productivity in Business Central. Valgeirsson said user actions and processing are recorded in the company’s own system, and that customer data stays there and is not used to train the AI or mixed with other customers’ data.
