Finland grants 18.3 million euros for Pori TNT factory

Finland’s defence minister has approved an 18.3 million euro state grant for explosives company Forcit to establish a TNT factory in Pori, Yle reported.

The funding comes from the United States and will be channelled to the company through the Finnish state. US support for the project was announced in mid-September.

The new facility is intended to produce TNT for Finland and NATO and to enable long-term support for Ukraine.
