Women should check their breasts regularly to help detect breast cancer early, oncology nurse Eyð Gudmundsson says in an interview with KVF.
Gudmundsson, who works at the oncology outpatient clinic at the National Hospital, explains how women can examine their breasts themselves.
Pink October is an annual international campaign that has raised awareness of breast cancer since 1985. The Faroese Cancer Society is highlighting the disease this month through information and events.
This year, people can support research and the work of the breast cancer group Bót til bata by buying brown neckwear decorated with pink ribbons.
