Weather warning flags 35 m/s gusts and rockfall risk

Strong wind gusts of up to 35 metres per second are forecast in Kjalarnes, near Hafnarfjall and by Eyjafjöll from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, mbl.is reported. Conditions could be hazardous for vehicles exposed to the wind.

A forecaster at the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration said heavy rain is expected in the Eastfjords on Friday, increasing the risk of rockfalls from the afternoon into the night.
