Bottom-fishing industry records 161 million kroner profit

The Faroe Islands’ bottom-fishing industry made a profit of 161 million kroner in 2025, its best result on record, according to Statistics Faroe Islands, reported by KVF.
The overall result for businesses in the Faroes fell from 3.8 billion kroner in 2023 to 3.4 billion in 2024 and 3 billion last year. Results in aquaculture and construction were also lower in 2025 than in 2024.
