Ministry prepares traffic rules for electric bicycles

The Ministry of Trade is preparing changes to the traffic law that would introduce rules for electric bicycles, including an age limit, KVF reports.

The current law does not define either a bicycle or an electric bicycle, Minister Jacob Vestergaard said. He also said electric bicycles can be used like ordinary bicycles and have no maximum speed limit.

Vestergaard made the comments in response to a question from MP Sunnvá Dahl Høgfeldt about electric bicycles, including age limits and maximum speed.
