Frederiksen says decisions on the Faroes belong in the Faroes

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said decisions about the Faroe Islands would be made there, as she pledged Denmark’s support for the islands’ efforts to strengthen ties with the outside world. Kringvarp Føroya (KVF) reported her remarks on Tuesday.

Frederiksen spoke as the Folketing, Denmark’s parliament, opened its new session. She said Denmark would support the Faroes in their efforts to build stronger connections internationally.
